Refrigeration for restaurants with more than one walk-in, reach-in or prep line.

A restaurant with one cooler has a problem when it fails. A restaurant with a walk-in cooler, a walk-in freezer, four reach-ins, two prep tables and a beer box has a different kind of exposure: any one of them can fail on a Friday night, and every one of them has its own age, refrigerant and failure pattern.

These guides are written for operators, kitchen managers and multi-location groups. They cover how to organize service across many units, what an emergency looks like in the first hour, what inspectors want in temperature records, and how to plan replacements before they become emergencies.

Our crew performs the refrigeration work itself and logs every unit in the DaVinci Portal, so a group with several sites gets the same record format and the same crew standard at each one.

Performed by our own crew. No subcontractors.

The mechanical, refrigeration and controls work on our projects is done by our own UA Local 250 workforce. The people who price the job are the people who set the equipment, pipe it, charge it and start it up, so one team answers for every task in the scope. Rented equipment such as a crane truck is coordinated by us.

How self-performed work works

Common questions

How should a restaurant organize service for many refrigeration units?
Start with an inventory by unit: type, location, age, refrigerant and what it holds. Then rank units by the cost of losing them and schedule maintenance and checks accordingly. One crew with one record format is easier to manage than several vendors per site.
What should I do first when a walk-in cooler stops cooling?
Keep the door closed, move high-risk product to working units, check and log temperatures, and call for service with the unit type and symptom ready. The emergency playbook walks through the first hour.
Do you serve restaurant groups with multiple locations?
We take on multi-site programs across Orange County and, for larger commercial work, neighboring Southern California counties. Coverage outside Orange County is handled project by project. Ask us about your locations.
Who performs the work?
Our own refrigeration technicians. We do not subcontract the work. See self-performed work.

Running several coolers and freezers?

Send us a list of your units and locations. We will map them, flag the riskiest ones and propose a program with visit frequency and records spelled out.
